COVID-19 Casualties in the US Exceed 160,000, Canceling Schools?
More than 160,000 people have died from the novel coronavirus pandemic in the United States, nearly a quarter of the global total, as the country debates whether schools are ready to reopen in the future.
The country recorded 160,003 deaths and 4.91 million cases, the highest caseload in the world. Deaths from the Corona COVID-19 Virus increased in 23 states and cases increased in 20 states, according to an analysis of Reuters data in the last two weeks compared to the previous two weeks.
On a per capita basis, the United States ranks 10th in the world for cases and deaths.
