A few years ago, when you had a doubt about a particular topic, it was normal to consult an encyclopedia or ask that friend who could have knowledge about that topic. Nowadays, with internet any doubt about any topic, difficult or strange as it may seem, can be resolved in a matter of minutes.
Internet is a huge warehouse full of information on the most varied topics. It is also a kind of great virtual city where you can make purchases, check money in the bank, check currencies, social networks and much more. Advertising has also known how to take advantage of the internet, and many companies launch their offers on the network, since they know that it is consulted daily by millions of Internet users.
To access all this information you only have to "navigate" through the network, that is, move from one web page to another and go looking for information. You can do it carelessly, visiting web addresses and hyperlinks without a specific purpose, such as when you walk along an avenue and go quietly looking at shop windows, or in a methodical way and with a specific purpose. To this end, search engines and metasearch engines have been created.

HOW IT BEGAN ON THE INTERNET

In the beginning, what we know today as the internet was created for military purposes. ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency), a division of the US Department of Defense. designed the TCP / IP communications protocol and created a communications network called ARPANET in order to communicate equipment that is located at distant points. Its real objective was to have a form of communication in case of a warlike conflict. The fear of a nuclear threat was very present, and the conventional media if a war broke out it was very possible that they stopped working. I was looking online and I saw that in 1975 Arpanet began to be used not only in military communication centers, but also in universities, although communication protocols were not yet unified since there were other computer networks with other protocols. Little by little the networks that existed were interconnected with each other, it was given the name of Internetworking (interconnection between networks), which was finally abbreviated on the Internet. In the mid-1990s, the Internet began to be increasingly well-known and was reaching more public and private organizations, institutions, schools and finally the homes of millions of families.

INTERNET AND THE FUTURE

Internet faster and faster, is already normal use of our daily lives, we can buy without leaving our house, consult the books we need without having to go to a library, listen to the latest album of our favorite singer on the network and decide whether it is worth buying or not, watch a movie we can enter social networks such as steemit, facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube or television series when we want to just access a menu and select it, etc. In fact, many of these things are already being done on the web today, and it is only a matter of time before we can achieve new wonders thanks to the Internet of the future.
However, we must know how to find the right measure in all areas of life on the Internet. Used with restraint and with intelligence, it will be a tool that will further facilitate the advancement of our society in the future.

Thank you for this reminder

We should remember where this all started. I wonder how much if any of its original purpose still functions within the modern internet?
