In case you wondered what the yellow looking flesh is in the picture, it is Uni. What is that you might say? Well, it is the Japanese word for sea urchin, but more specifically the sea urchin's gonads. It's got a very rich taste often described as tasting like the ocean and a bit briny but not tasting very fishy.
If you can put aside the fact that you're eating the gonads, and also see past it's unusual exterior, you'll quickly realise that it is a pure bliss experience.
