Fuji is of course known for it's mountain at Honshu which is the highest volcano mountain in Japan. It is picturesque and continues to be a main destination for tourists throughout the year.

What people don't know, is that it is actually surrounded by five lakes and is very close to the Pacific ocean coast as well. It's geography means that the local people have relied on the water for their food since they began settling around the area.
