after this incident the parishioners of the two churches began to think of a new way to continue the "war" with something impressive but not forbidden by the Turks. The solution was given by the parishioners of St. Mark and the pyrotechnist Korakakis, who had his own workshop in the city.
he made some rockets that he had transported to Vrondado. At the same time, they themselves let their secret go to the parishioners of Our Lady of Erethiani to continue the "war".
This is how the new period of the rocket warfare began. At first they were taking the rockets from Korakakis, but around 1900 they learned to manufacture them themselves. In the beginning the casting of the rockets was made from the roofs of the churches but after some unfortunate incidents, the throwing continued until today from the fields around the churches.
