System Software

The type of software used to control the hardware and software of the computer system. It is responsible for management and performance of the computer. It has following types.
1 Operating System:-
It is a collection of programs which runs on the background of the computer and provide an interface through which user can interact with the computer. Computer can't work with out operating system.
2 Device Driver:-
It is a system software it is used to make hardware functional it is a software for communication between computer and device attached with it manufacturer provides device driver with their device.
3 Utility :-
It is a small software. It is used to perform a maintenance task for the system some utility software are built in and some not.
4 Translator :-
This software is used to translate sources code into object code. Every program have its own translator.
