Yesterday was a very sad day for me. I lost a member of my family. She had been with me for 13 years and she had a good life on the farm. Tragically she was run over in the middle of the night. I miss her happy face and company as I go round the farm.

Yea Blackcat won't let me out of her sight - she's just yeowling all the time when I'm outside - it's really sad!
I sometimes think grief is even harder for animals, as they have no cognitive understanding of what has happened. So they have puzzlement on top of their distress.
I lost my black lab last year... after having him for about 18 years. So much character in those eyes! I am glad you have such a long time to have built up so many wonderful memories and experiences to remember back on!

Yes it's been a tough couple of days! The puppy pic was or Cara years ago. There's only me here now and no other dogs so the place feels pretty empty :)
