Smart Beaches in Dubai
In Dubai there are the "smart-beaches", which the municipality of Dubai launched a couple of years ago starting from the beach of Umm Suqeim, near the famous Burj Al Arab skyscraper. The Municipality, explained to Gulf News Obaid Al Shamsi, assistant director of the general director of the Municipality of Dubai, that a generator of electricity has been installed that exploits the wind energy and the smart cabins. As Ansamed writes, the cabins use renewable energy : on each of them there are solar panels and the first two wind turbines have been installed, which will be followed by others. The cabins have been designed in an architecturally captivating way and will also have tailor-made services for Dubai customers, with safes to keep their personal belongings safe. The beaches also have the wi-fi signal, which will be extended by internet stations that recall palm trees and which will also show the program of events in the country and attractions for tourists. But the wi-fi palms will also allow visitors to the beach to recharge mobile phones, tablets or PCs all powered by solar panels.
