Update on court case

I've been discussing the court Case I'm involved with with the Indigionious and Northern Affairs Canada.

The background is the Band Council of my reserve is being investigated for committing fraud and embezzling money.

INAC, Indigionious and Northern Affairs Canada, has been doing an audit of the books for the past year.

The thing is they keep stating it'll be done by... dates come and go.

During my conversation with them last week though the government official spent ten to twenty minutes trying to talk me out of suing the Band Council.

The reason... the Band Office will get audited and anything INAC has missed will come to light and reflect poorly on them.

My opinion on that is... if they do their job right they won't miss anything.

I then let them know the court filing has already happened.

They are aware the Band Office is taking retaliatory steps against Band Members for the investigation, to which the Investigator pointed out she doesn't know why Council would do that in court... it becomes apart of the investigation.

Ergo. Makes Council look bad.
