With the nice weather and the fact that it is a wayning moon. I picked thanksgiving day as my day to plant the garlic. The recent shnook weather pattern has allowed the frost to come out of the ground again so it made this job a lot easier.

I had turned the soil just before the last frost came in.
So I worked it once again and added some aged fertilizer and crushed gypsum and sand mix. The gypsum sand is dug up from in the area and I sprinkle this on my garden randomly to replenish the minerals take from the soil. EFC151E6-2A04-470F-883C-26655800E728.jpeg

I plant my bulbs about 4 inches apart in a full block.
I am going to sprinkle a little cayenne pepper over the soil to help prevent the varmints from rooting through the freshly turned soil.
Towards the end of planting the geese picked up off of the neighbors pond
Always cool!

I like the idea of using cayenne pepper as a deterrent. I would have never thought of that!

Yes I have come to love cayenne as a barn it deterrent
I have used it to keep bugs off of plants and it worked fairly well to keep raccoons out of my corn patch. Though if I didn’t spray regularly they were back in.

You gave very nice information sir. good work

You're welcome 😀
