THE BYTEBALL DISTRIBUTION EXPLAINED

This year, the very interesting (and I might add WORKING) byteball project have been inflating their supply in a completely different way to the current slew of ICO's. Yes, they are simply rewarding people who are already holding byteball, or who have bothered to get a wallet and link a bitcoin wallet to it.

This will all happen on the full moon of the 9th July 2017 (tomorrow as at the time of writing this post). As long as your byteballs are in your wallet at this point (and the wallet is all confirmed with the very clever transition bots) you're sorted!

Super nice, and in my opinion a great way of getting awareness about the actual project objectives, as opposed to just getting people interested because they think there is a quick trading profit to be made.

And then....

BITTREX WALLET GETS (CLEARS THROAT) ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Yes, with just hours to go before holders of Byteball who have bothered to link their wallets, confirmed a bitcoin address and made a small payment receive their coins, Bittrex puts the GBYTE wallet on maintenance.

This means if you are still holding GBYTEs on Bittrex, you can't get them off into your main wallet. Which means you can't get the 20% extra coins in the distribution.

NOOOOOOO I shouted at the screen when I saw it....if it wasn't already bad enough that the entire crypto market is currently redder than a foxes arse in berry season, not actually being able to get my half a bitcoins worth of GBYTES that I bought last week when they were cheap was a proper kick in the knackers.

Have they any idea of the distribution going ahead? Of course they bloody well do. They simply don't want lots of people taking byteballs off the site and into external wallets (even though there will probably be loads more coming in again tomorrow!)

This sort of thing is a complete joke. Shit like this makes it feel like you're dealing with the global banksters still.

Reputation as an exchange is fundamental to your success. Poloniex have been losing plenty of customers (many to Bittrex) recently, mainly for their complete lack of support.

And make no mistake, new exchanges are going to start springing up everywhere. I've been talking recently to a new British one which is due to launch early 2018. So watch it Bittrex, because the market will sort out those who fuck them over.

Now, I'm not saying that there really isn't some ROUTINE maintenance going on, but the timing just seems so....well, bloody fishy.
