I wish i could sue Tiger/Scoot Airlines. Crazy flight rules! Any Lawyers in here?

Good day Scoot Team, hope you guys are doing well. I’m certainly not based on what happened during my journey with you Airlines. This might be long and probably a unique case so i request you to read it full and not miss any part.

Flight from SG to Kochi was at 12Feb 10.25pm Reached Changi Airport at 9.30pm, tried to do self-check. Didn’t work out. Immediately i went to the counter where your ground staff checked and said it’s closed. Infact they called the pilot and it seems they too told its already closed for boarding even though i didn't had any luggage to check in, just a hand carry.
I was under the impression that check in closes 45mts before take-off instead of 1hour as like many other airlines. Well my mistake i was not on time probably. I didn’t complain/make noise or anything but to rub the wound with salt two of your officers without even looking at me and a sarcastic undertone, “We cannot delay the flight because You came late ". Completely fair but really i was there 55 minutes before the departure and they could have had actually helped me board in if they really wanted to. Never mind my mistake and i take responsibility of it.
There was another connecting flight to my destination in the next few hours and i managed to make the booking. The booking part and everything else with the other airline went well.
Here's where it gets interesting now. Midst the whole mess, i received a message & email from Scoot saying that I have missed the flight and it’s required of me to call the service call centre to inform that I’ll be taking the return flight on 22Feb with Scoot. I tried to call; as always cannot connect/officers are busy please hang on the line...went in to the counter (i was still at the airport) and they informed that the counter was closed and asked me to come back after sometimes. After sometimes no one was there at the counter and a while later I had no choice but to go inside the security check and to the gate as I didn’t want to miss the flight the second time the same day. All’s good and I reached my destination.
Fast forward to 22Feb, my return flight to Singapore from Kochi with Scoot Airlines, went in to the check in counter and gave my ticket, the ground staff says the there Is no booking under my name for the return flight. I showed them my flight ticket. It’s clearly stated 22Feb 0125am flight Kochi to Singapore, still can’t find any information about my booking in the server.
Finally Scoot Kochi officials called the customer care service and what they informed is that since I didn’t take my flight from Singapore to Kochi they had cancelled my return flight and if I want to still fly have to pay extra ~$175 I guess to reinstate the booking. I tried to explain the situation to the customer care executive aswell but in vain. I had to make that payment if not I’d have missed the flight again trying to make a point. You can’t cancel anyone’s booking without their consent and you guys just did which I find to be completely appalling and unexpected. I mean who cancels somebody’s flight just like that! Infact Scoot Officer at Kochi itself told that this is the first time something like this have happened and they don’t go about cancelling any flight in such a situation.
So basically altogether supposed to be $350 up and down flight now cost me over $1000. I don’t expect you to refund my Singapore to Kochi ticket, or the other expenses incurred, wherein you the check in was closed 1 hours before and your staff were not able to help me board which I understand too as there is a lapse in my part too. But for the latter part wherein Scoot cancelled my flight without my consent and the fact to reinstate the booking I had to pay a penalty is to be further discussed.
I do appreciate it if you could help check into this matter and refund me atleast the extra I paid to confirm my return flight. As it was a credit card payment I don’t exactly remember but it’s around $175 to my knowledge. Please check in your system and I hope you can find it.
