Jihadist attack kills, wounds several Syrian Army soldiers in Latakia

BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 A.M.) - The jihadist rebels launched a powerful drone attack on the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops in northern Latakia this past weekend, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides reported on Monday.

According to the Russian Center for Reconciliation, the jihadist attack drones bombed the Syrian Arab Army's positions in the Jabal Al-Akrad and Jabal Turkmen regions of northern Latakia.

As a result of this attack, at least three Syrian Arab Army soldiers were killed and another nine more were seriously wounded.

The attack was reportedly carried out on September 2nd and consisted of at least five armed drones from the Jisr Al-Shughour District of Idlib.

The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy.
