One day Jesus and his disciples went to visit Marta and María, Marta, an excellent hostess, did everything possible to make everything ready for her guests. For Martha it was regrettable that Jesus backed Mary. Maria's behavior communicated the following:
I value this opportunity to sit at the feet of Jesus and delight in his words, therefore, it is precisely here that I will invest my time and energy.
The central theme of this story is how to align our values with our behavior.
Since the values are our internal navigation system. Let's consider some of the biblical values that can help us in our lives.
1.The sovereignty of God. My embryo saw your eyes, and in your book were written all those things that were then formed, without missing one of them. (Psalm 139: 16) RV 1960 we can live confident that God has the last word in relation to everything.
2.integrity. the integrity of the upright will lead them (Prov. 11: 3). If we pursue our affairs with integrity, integrity is not merely being honest or telling the truth. It's a matter of keeping your word.
3.humility. The fear of Jehovah is the teaching of wisdom; and humility precedes honor (Proverbs 15:33). Humility is not feeling worthy of something, rather it is an attitude that accepts both the strengths given by God and the weaky.
4.generosity. give and you will be given, when we give is when we resemble God, and we can never beat them in that aspect.
5.Equality. Because there is no acceptance of people for God, no person is more important than another.
This list of Christian values is not intended to be exhaustive. it is possible that your list includes others. What matters is that you allow your fundamental values to become the engine of your actions.
