The great gift of Easter is hope, which makes us have that confidence in God, in his ultimate triumph, and in his goodness and love. The gifts of the Master are these: freedom, life, hope, new direction, transformation, and intimacy with God. If the cross was the end of the story, we would have no hope. But the cross isn't the end. Jesus didn't escape from death; he conquered it and opened the way to heaven for all who will dare to believe. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die . Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26). 10. “…just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Love always involves responsibility, and love always involves sacrifice. And we do not really love Christ unless we are prepared to face His task and take up His cross.
