Digital Artwork : Power Inside - Leopard Drawing Process ♡

Even in the darkness, never forget that there is always a power inside of you staring back at you. 

Though it may feel like most of the time it's dozing and unaware, if awoken with a hunger and desire it will leap and reach what it's set it's mind to in the blink of an eye.

Inside of everybody there lies a great power, and only if we see that it's there can we have anything we want in this life. 

This artwork was done using Sketchbook Pro and a Wacom drawing tablet. 

I first did a rough sketch of where the face would be using the pencil tool, then filled the eyes and outlined it darker. I used a symmetry line to make the features on either side even.

Did a rough base layer of color, then slowly started adding more shades and dimensions with the smudging tool.

Smudged the base color some more and added the leopards black spots on a new layer using the symmetry tool. Colored in the eyes and nose and did more shading to the face for dimension.

Whiskers got added, as well as detailed dots and strokes of hair. Finally added a black backdrop which tied the overall look together.
