Attitudes that entrepreneurs should cultivate

Dear readers, the year 2020 has become a period where people because of the radical quarantine have had very discouraging experiences in their jobs, some companies have had to do without many workers because the current economic situation does not allow them to cover the salary of employees, among other circumstances specific to each company. Despite this, some people have brought out their skills and have realized that one cannot live on one salary alone, and that it is necessary to diversify economic income to improve the quality of life.

In that sense, when I talk about economic diversification I don't mean looking for several jobs, on the contrary, the idea is that we can start our own business, where creativity is evident and we give meaning to an idea that comes from the skills and knowledge we have. Here, I would like to highlight my personal experience, since for many years I dedicated myself solely to teaching as my only source of income. Today, I can continue to provide quality university education and complement my sources of income with the creation of a company where I can put my professional knowledge at the service of many agricultural producers and produce agricultural products that allow us to maintain crop production.

Starting from these premises, I will now share with you some criteria that from my point of view and according to the experience obtained in all this time can help you cultivate a positive and proactive attitude that will allow you to stay motivated and can be translated into the success of your new business. Let's get started!

- When you have an idea, it is advisable to consider some objectives and execute them step by step in a logical and priority way, that is to say, let's concentrate on one objective at a time and not try to work on all of them in parallel. Despite the anxiety we have to see our business crystallize, we must be clear that if we want good results we must project the consolidation of our company in the medium or long term, that will avoid any kind of frustration caused by an uncontrolled anxiety.

- You must be willing to leave the comfort zone, that translates into putting aside laziness and excuses, and internalizing that every beginning is difficult and deserves that all the energies are put in the execution of the proposed objectives, leaving aside the moments of leisure and wasting time in unproductive activities, we must always be active and expectant before any opportunity that presents itself and that helps you achieve business stability.

- Start cultivating a positive attitude and stop underestimating your knowledge and skills, life is a trial and error, so nothing will be lost if at the first attempt you do not achieve the objectives, with discipline and persistence we will keep trying because in this world there are opportunities for everyone.

- As part of that positive attitude, start visualizing what you will achieve with your business. This will fill you with enthusiasm and keep you motivated during the long journey towards success.

- Finally, avoid any type of vice that threatens your financial stability, including gambling, drugs or alcohol. Your only vice should be to run your business and generate as much income as possible for the stability of your family.
