The state park on the edge of Riverside, California, appreciates and pays tribute to the Citrus Fruit industry that had ceased to become noticeable after the development, progression, and building of homes in the southern part of California. The reason why the museum is open air is that the visitors and tourist could speculate and admire the landscape of the museum whose design is purely manmade. As a result, the 240 acres of land was used to construct this open-air museum.

So the park contains a picnic area, amphitheater, orchards of citrus fruits, interpretive and activity center. The land inside the open air museum park supports agriculture and the production of best quality citrus fruits.
