If you find yourself in Tucson and wondering what to visit and where to go, don’t worry, there is a beautiful, stunning, fantastic mission that you have to see. Mission San Xavier del Bac is a historic Spanish Catholic mission.
This stunning mission was founded in 1692. The mission is the amazing building of the oldest European structure in Arizona. More than 200,000 visitors come to see the beauty of this mission.
The mission was torn down two times, by an earthquake and a lightning strike. It is called the White Dove of the Desert. The Mission is painted in white, and it sticks out against the desert and the sky.

The Mission is located 16 km/10miles south of downtown Tucson, the official address is 1950 W San Xavier Road.
There is no admission charge to visit the Mission. It is exquisite and doesn’t hesitate, you have to visit and see the finest example of Spanish Colonial architecture.
The mission was named after Francis Xavier, he was a Christian missionary and co-founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuit Order) in Europe.

The mission is open from 07:00am to 05:00 pm and sometimes it is closed because of a special service. There is a gift shop that works from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm. They say that “the Mission was created to serve the needs of the local community.”
If you are coming with a car, there is a parking in front of the Mission.

The artwork and carvings on the interior are more than beautiful, you literally didn’t see anything like this, and you will be amazed by the art, architecture and the energy of this place.
If you want to lighten a candle for you, your love once, family, friends, you can buy them at the gift shop at the cost of 3$.

This Mission is literally the perfect place to see the history and culture of Tucson. The site is peaceful, amazing and you will enjoy every minute of the visit.
You will see and learn the history, interesting things, and facts about the Missions. There is also a museum, that is open from 08:30 am to 04:30pm, but currently, it is closed for renovation.

Beside seeing something amazing and beautiful, people visit the mission to pray and to find a place of peace. It is a miracle place to visit.
