The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a nontrinitarian, Christian restorationist church which is considered to be the restoration of the original church founded by Jesus. It is also known as the LDS Church or Mormon Church. This church has its headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah and has built temples and congregations worldwide. Currently, this church has about 67,000 missionaries and a 16 million membership count. The National Council of Churches ranked this church as the fourth largest Christian denomination in 2012.

The LDS Church was organized by Joseph Smith on 6th April 1830 in Western New York. Its name was changed to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after Smith received a revelation. The church then slowly started moving to different cities by establishing outposts. Many doctrines and practices of this church are related to Christianity like the Mormon cosmology, plan of salvation, three degrees of heaven, exaltation, etc. As per these principles every human spirit is a child of a Heavenly Father and has the potential to grow, learn, and progress, eventually achieving eternal life. The disciples of this church also follow a health code called Word of Wisdom, where they abstain from consuming alcohol, coffee, tea, and tobacco.

Scriptures like Holy Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrine and Covenants, etc. are showcased at this church. Many other resources like music, magazines, prophetic teachings, etc. are also available at the church to learn more about the history and Christian culture. Many self-guidance and improvements programs are also conducted in this Church like Hope and Help, Self-Reliance, Employment, and Welfare, etc. The church is open to adults, youth, and children of all age groups so that they can learn and inspire others as well. Those who wish to contribute to the society can do so by participating in volunteering activities, learning and teaching sessions. The church also works with schools in and around its locality by providing achievement programs and study tools. The students can also take the tour of the church as a part of their curriculum activity.

The church is open on all days, and visitors are always welcome here. You can take guided history tours of the church or read through the doctrines and covenants at this church as well. Do visit this Church on your trip to Arizona if you wish to learn more about Christian history.
