Fort Worth Zoo

in #ambulorbis6 years ago

The Fort Worth Zoo was founded in 1909 just a few animals: one lion, one alligator, one coyote, one peacock, two bear cubs, and a few rabbits. Over 7,000 native and exotic animals now call it home and the zoo has been named as a top zoo in the nation. The Zoo's mission is to "invigorate the relationship between humans and the environment by promoting responsible supervisions of wildlife and making sure to deliver a diverse, high-quality entertaining and educational family experience through excellent management of its resources." The Fort Worth Zoo is committed to change the facilitation of conservations positively, to provide scientific and factual information to nurture love and respect for wildlife and nature, and always exceed their visitor's expectations.

The Zoo is open 365 days a year and Wednesdays are half-price, and during holidays, the zoo opens from 12 am to 4 pm. Admissions for adults are $ 14, children from 3 to 12 are $10, children from 2 or younger are free, and seniors (65+) are $10. The parking costs $5 per car per day. Many children visit the zoo for educational programs during the school year. Most schools visit in the morning, so the Zoo tends to be less crowded in the afternoon.
