Destiny and Fate : Realities we Cannot Ignore
A young man in the city of Lagos on his way to a job interview one rainy day, waited at a traffic junction for the light to signal him to move. As he waited one tattered man came up to his car and requested for a lift down the road, as they were obviously headed the same way, the man immediately rained curses and abuses on the man in the rain, telling him how late he was for an interview.
He got to the firm and waited patiently for his turn, just as he got in, guess who sat as the chairman of the company? The man he refused a lift. Did he get the job?
Well your guess is as good as mine. Hell no!
Sometimes we expect our helpers to come dressed in suits, but most times they come in rags.
As an Usher in my former church few years ago, I came to realise that everyone was important in the race of destiny. Sometimes ushers used to give more preference to the rich, great, successful, around church, that so many lost out on future possibilities.
Even the smallest person can change the twist of one's fate in the future. Everyone is a carrier of a destiny. As you step out everyday, realise that even the mad man walking pass our street is more than qualified to be used by God if they were our destiny helpers.
Every single person can change the twist of faith!
When you look at destiny and fate very closely, you discover there's a difference between what you are interested in and what's interested in you. Sometimes things will happen beyond our conscious and unconscious help, but in the very end, we are who we are, our stories make us unique.
Where lies our fates and destinies?
