The Maldivian archipelago owes its extraordinary landscape to certain specific geographic conditions. The basis of the islets included in it are fragments of the underwater mountain ridge, set on the bottom of the sea protruding above the water surface. Around the mountain hardships over time dense coral reefs that led to the development of numerous atolls - flat coral islands, on the surface of which initially formed sands, and with time developed plant life.
In the area of ​​individual atolls, modern tourist centers have developed, offering not only a great hotel base (especially in the atolls: Male, Ari and Baa), but also many opportunities for attractive and active leisure. Of course, the greatest popularity is diving in the vast blue of the local seas. We will discover here not only magnificent underwater metropolises, but also wrecks of ships, and our inseparable companions will be moray eels, rays and dolphins. The best diving sites are located in atolls: Male, Ari and Raa.
Since only a small percentage of the Maldives is inhabited, we have the chance to get to know, explore and explore the lonely islands, some of which will surprise us with the richness of tropical vegetation, others with the ruins of Buddhist temples hidden among trees.
