Time for Motivational Mondays.

So let's begin #Motivational Mondays shall we?

So what are Motivational Mondays all about. I have seen that people either want to begin working out and then they have some other commitments to attend to and then they never begin working out or they begin working out and then they don't continue the momentum forward i.e. don't even last a week. Therefore, these posts are going to be providing you some motivation/inspiration to work out so that you banish the excuses and make some room even if it's for 5-10 mins for working out daily.

So for this weeks #Motivational Mondays let's start with this story of 2 people Tom and Harry.

Both of them were born in well to do families. They both had access to good quality education, nutrition, other resources required for not only a healthy living but also of for being able to dream big and also obviously being able to try and fulfill those dreams.

Both of them went to school and got good grades. Both excelled in sports as well in their respective schools. After graduation both of them began working for the same company called XYZ manufacturers that produced bottles of Jam. After a week at work Tom decided to become an entrepreneur and start his business of selling ice-cream because in his little town of Arizona there was a lot of demand for ice-cream but there weren't a lot of suppliers so he decided that he would step in and swoop the market in terms of providing the best possible and tastiest ice-cream as much as possible. Ice Cream and Arizona's hot climate made complete sense to him. However, Harry on the other hand decided to get lazy and just carry on with the job he had and enjoy his life because from his perspective he had worked his butt off until graduation and therefore he deserved a break from putting in excessive effort.

After a month at work, Harry began to get comfortable with his new way of living and decided to check up on what his friend Tom was upto. Tom in the mean while was encountering troubles regarding the accumulation of finances for his new ice-cream venture. His salary as a Salesman was about 60k usd/Year and his expenses equated to 30k usd no matter how frugally he decided to live. The ice-cream parlour he was eyeing costed 70k usd and he only had 15k usd after deducting taxes and savings to be deposited in his bank A/C.

Both of them decided to meet up at a Starbucks near by their workplace just for the sake of catching up because Tom used to rush off after work for working on his ice-cream parlour project but Harry used to chill with his work buddies and used to urge Tom to join him as well, but Tom used to politely refuse his invitation because he knew that he had only a couple of hours after work for fulfilling his new found dream and if he spent them with Harry then he would not be making any progress towards his dream for that day. That means a day wasted and it wasn't acceptable to Tom. However, Tom decided to accept Harry's invitation that day and he went with him. They partied with coffee, cake and chocolate Ice-cream and then Harry asked him "Tom how is your progress in terms of your Ice-cream parlour happening?". Tom said I've sorted out the plan, marketing, place, etc, but I'm lacking in finances. Harry upon hearing this began to laugh like reallllllllllllllly laugh at him. Tom asked why are you laughing? Harry replied I've been enjoying my time over here with very little worries and after all the work you put in you still are nowhere close to your venture. Hahahahaha ..........

Harry told his friends the same thing and while many of them understood a couple of them began to accompany Harry in laughing at Tom. Tom got angry at first but after sometime decided that this wasn't the way to act. So he kept quite. If he can make the Journey from nowhere till here then he can easily proceed till the end. There was no need to make a scene.

Tom returned home after this little event that had just happened a couple of hours ago. But instead of crying he decided to become even more passionate for his project and he became more committed towards making his venture a success than he was earlier to this event. At this very moment a friend of Harry sent him a quote and it read "Hustle in silence and then let your success make the noise". Tears of joy rolled down from his eyes and he announced to himself that within a year he would have his ice-cream parlour up and running and Harry and his friends would come there after their work hours for their Party-time.

Now fast forwarding a year later. Harry began to notice that Tom had not been to work in the last month. He thought he might have fallen sick from all the work he was doing and began laughing again. But then what if he would have succeeded in his venture. Nah, he would've known by now. Although, he had heard of a new ice-cream joint that used to be crowded throughout the week and was gaining a lot of popularity. Could that be Tom's shop? I don't know. He decided to go with his friends to this shop and see for himself. He could have asked the HR people but nah let's see for myself he thought.

So after his work hours were over he went to this place along with his friends and was firstly amused by the name of the place "Harry's Parlour" ( FYI this was purposely done by Tom in order to remind himself about his promise that Harry and his friends would one day come here for their after party. However, revenge was not his goal. He just wanted to prove it to himself and a little bit to Harry that he can do). He went inside and was awe-struck by the ambience and traffic although the interiors could be improved but hey the venture only began a month ago. Lol.

It took Harry and his friends an hour to be able to make it to the counter to make an order and then they spent about 40 minutes at that place. In the mean time, Tom was out to fetch some inventory mostly bananas and icecream for his parlour. He could have hired an assistant to do all of this but the business was only a month old and if he had to expand then he had to cut down on all possible unneccessary expenses. Harry was about to leave but then he decided to wait for another 10 minutes just to admire the place after eating his banana split and chit chatting with his friends. Tom arrived and entered the shop through the back door removed his pair of outdoor clothes in the secret closet he had made especially for this purpose and changed into his working clothes and put on a little deodorant. He went to the counter to see how things were happening and then Bam. He saw Harry. He was screaming in joy within himself but he didn't let it show on his face.

He went up to Harry's table and asked him "Is everything alright Sir?". Harry was taken aback by seeing Tom and he enquired "Are you the owner of this place?" With a big smile on his face 😁 Tom replied Yes. Harry and his were feeling a little ashamed for their behaviour a couple of months ago and asked if Tom could forgive them for that incident. Tom replied " I had already forgiven you guys on that very day that incident happened". They walked out of the parlour and were inspired by the success of Tom. After this incident Harry decided to open his own restaurant which he did manage to do a year later. He and Tom now became very successful entrepreneurs. But did they live happily ever after. That depends on them or me ( If it write that way ) or you if you imagine it that way. Lol.

Moral of the story is:-
1).Forgive, forget and move forward.
2).Forget the pain but never the lesson.
3).Never give up, never make excuses and never under estimate anyone including yourself.
