Today, the members of Elite Ambassadors for Good Governance in collaboration with Coalition for Imo Development, popularly known as Ihē Abiala n' Imo, a Non Governmental Organization held a one day sensitization on road safety and distribution of welfare packages; free petrol ,T-shirts, pen and hand band to Cyclist riders in major markets of Ihitte Uboma and Ehime Mbano Local Government Areas.

Addressing the commuters, the cordinator of Ihitte Uboma, Comr. Kelechi Nwachukwu spoke on the need for safety and it's importance to human life. He advised the Cyclists to be very careful in voting during the coming election. Comr. Kelechi emphasised the need for good governance and credible leaders to be voted in power during the forthcoming election.

Similarly, the cordinator of Ehime Mbano , Comr. Donatus Njoku disclosed to the cyclists the aims of their organization, assuring them of being Non partisan but a group that advocates for the welfare of her people especially in this vital time of elections. He revealed that Umueziala, Aba branch and Oriagu markets are the major connecting roots of Ehime Mbano LGA, thus reminding his people on the importance of safety when plying the road.

In his commendations, the Chairman of Isinweke Cyclist Union, Emmanuel Nwaeleke who spoke in his native language stated that this is the first of its kind for such an awareness to be carried out in their town. He thanked the organisers for their welfare packages and free Petrol shared to them.

In their separate responses, Mr.Ndubuisi Oheagunwa and Victor Otuonye from Ehime Mbano revealed that the lecture was an eye opener on the need to take adequate care of themselves, passengers and as well maintain the road in a good state. While Nwachinaemere Uzuegbu of Umueziela Umuagu Ehime Mbano appreciated the group for coming to identify with them. He prays that God will continue to sustain them while calling on Government to remember them as most of them have certificates but no Job in the country has turn them into a village Cyclist.
