Five loaves and two bread - it is more than you think!
Many of us have heard the story from the Bible in which Jesus feeds a large crowd only with some bread and fish. How was that possible? Of course, it was a miracle! But, the essence of the story doesn't have to be on the miracle only. Instead, what do you think if you decide to ponder upon the actions of the boy who actually brought the bread and the fish?
Can you imagine yourself as that little boy. You brought a lunch pack that your mum gave you, and now you are there on a large field together with thousands of people. You feel hungry yourself, and you know that the crowd feels the same way. What do you do? You look at the bread and the fish and you think... this isn't much. I should probably eat it somewhere so I won't starve to death! Or you might think - maybe I should share it with someone? But who cares... it is so little, it isn't enough for anything!
Well, the boy was brave and he took it to Jesus... and what happened? He multiplied it!
I often think that the actions of the boy are what we should remember in this story! He took what he had and decided to use it. He didn't look at what he didn't have, but he took his talents and what he had... and what was the result? IT WAS ENOUGH!
We have to stop looking at what we don't have, and instead, we need to look at what we have. When we know what we have, that is when we can start using it and that is when it can start to multiply, especially if we place it into the hands of an expert in multiplication... like Jesus!
What do you think? Are you ready to use what you have, instead of only looking at what you don't have? I hope you have found this little daily motivation article interesting, useful, and encouraging.
