Whats up with the yankees, they've lost 8 of 9 now?
I can't believe the tampa bay rays are only 2 1/2 games out of first place. That's what happens when you lose 8 of 9 games. Why are the yankees losing? It seems like their hitting is o.k., the pitching must be really lousy. Now, tied with boston for first place, i'm putting my money on boston at this point, half way through the season. could the tampa bay rays end up ahead of the yankees? wow, that is incredible to think about, but they have at least a dozen head to head left with the yankees. it'll be an interesting second half of the season!
Yeah, as a Yankees fan I am not surprised. Look who the starting 5 pitchers are. I think this is just the Yankees reverting back to their mean. We have great hitting and a great back end of the bullpen, but we need better, consistent pitching. We have seen the good and the bad of Pineda before, and with all of these pitchers. None of them have proven to be unstoppable. When C.C. Sabathia is one of your best pitchers, something is wrong. The other 8 players on the field are obviously more than fine, or 9 including the DH, but we still need that solid, consistent starting pitching.
