Steemit Feature Request: AMA's

in #steemit10 years ago

Currently, Steemit is a successful blogging platform. Many people have made lots of money writing from everything about security exploits to applying makeup. The number of new posts per day has grown very quickly as is the number of users. Unfortunately, while the posts themselves make a lot of money, the interaction between the users of the platform and the actual bloggers is a bit lacking.

What I propose is an AMA feature. Clearly, you could do an AMA already in the normal way "My name is John Doe, the creator of xxx, AMA!" but what I'm talking about is an AMA bounty. Something like "AMA Request: Max Keiser" where the proceeds of that post get split (say, 70/30) between Max Keiser and the person who created the post. This would obviously incentivize said person to come onto the platform and also give them a financial incentive. Furthermore, assuming the person is famous, would bring their fans onto the site, even if it's just to check it out.

The nice thing about Steem is that there's a financial incentive to writing almost anything and this is a good way for someone that already has influence in another sphere to bootstrap their influence here.

I propose that the first two people to have AMA's in this fashion be Andreas Antonopoulos and Max Keiser.
