Meet Larry, Curly and Moe...!
You can only just see the third fish in the top, left hand corner near the filter.
This aquarium has been knocking around for a few years so after my recent clean up, I decided to reward my efforts with some new family members. I've been wanting to set it up for quite a while and now seemed as good a time as any.
I've owned fish in the past but nothing too extravagant and I thought getting a few 'platy' would be sufficient for my level of experience. (and budget)
"Platies are a freshwater live-bearing fish, very similar to a guppy or molly. They retain their eggs inside the body, giving birth to live, free-swimming young" and this is why I have an interest in keeping them. (src)
For no other reason than just because; because I've always wanted to and never have; because why not... ?
Anyhoo, the sound of trickling water has become a very welcome and relaxing background to my days and the fish have quickly become part of my 'good-morning' routine. Each morning, I already look forward to saying hello and feeding them breakfast...
AND yeah, I know...!
Small things amuse small minds...
(but it's the little things that count... right?)

Yes, you're right @cicisaja... although I wanted to name them Kym, Kourtney and Khloe but my daughter said NO! :(
