Wednesday walk along the Bally Park

in #wednesdaywalk5 years ago (edited)

A stroll yesterday through the Bally Park is an unforgettable experience. The Park surprises me always with its beautiful Aare landscape, the pile dwellings and its English-style park with ponds and canals in a near-natural landscape. The miniaturized pile dwellings are a unique specimen of the park in Europe.

It was in 1851, when Carl Franz Bally founded the shoe manufactory Bally in Schönenwerd- Switzerland, that he was already striving to combine high-quality materials with outstanding craftsmanship and appealing design. This claim has remained until today. The park was so part of a typical industrial landscape of the 19th century, consisting of factories, factory owner's villa, worker's houses, warehouses, social facilities and recreation rooms.
Carl Franz Bally started in 1868 with the melioration of the swampy Schönenwerder between the railway line Olten - Aarau and the Aare River.

What a fascinating place to go for a walk! I have never owned a pair of Bally's, only admired them from afar!

Thanks a lot, I live not far from a Bally Outlet which once sold very, very cheap. So I still have these shoes :), really very good quality.

They definitely are wonderful shoes!
