Old and new architectural combination in Aarau

An architectural combination of an old tower and a modern extension. The facade of the new building shows 134 life-size reliefs by sculptor Josef Felix Müller.
The Stadtmuseum Aarau is located in the middle of the city and are mediating between past, present and future.

In the middle of Aarau, below the city museum is the castle mill. The building was built in 1969 as a reconstruction of a water-powered grain mill, commissioned by the local community and donated to the city of Aarau.
