Albert Einstein and Aarau
Did you know surely that the young Einstein laid the first stone for his physics studies at the Aarau Cantonal School. The city lies northeast of Bern, southeast of Basel and west of Zurich. The world-famous physicist, researcher and creator of the theory of relativity, Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein, graduated here in 1896 with five times the highest possible grade in Switzerland, grade 6.
