A small town by the lake
Sempach in Switzerland is the small town on the lake of the same name, known about the Battle of Sempach on 9 July 1386. The gate originally had a monopitch roof. Probably in the 17th century it was provided with a tower roof and a town clock was installed. Fresco on the front in 1911 by Seraphin Weingartner.
Sempach in der Schweiz ist die kleine Stadt am gleichnamigen See, bekannt durch die Schlacht von Sempach am 9. Juli 1386. Das Tor hatte ursprünglich ein Pultdach. Vermutlich im 17. Jahrhundert wurde es mit einem Turmdach versehen und eine Stadtuhr installiert. Fresko an der Front 1911 von Seraphin Weingartner.
