Calling all young entrepreneurs....

From a very young age (probably around the age of ten months when she began talking.....in sentences) we could tell that our daughter soaked up knowledge like a sponge. Wanting to learn, explore and question everything, we found that she always wanted to be given new challenges.

By the age of 5 she was appointed school counsellor, however due to her kind nature and wanting to please EVERYONE she did not want the responsibility of making decisions. We found out that she had hand written her letter of resignation and personally delivered it to the headteacher! How responsible and cute for such a young child?

She continued to amaze us, we gave her the opportunity to start learning Chinese Mandarin and she took to it like a duck to water. With private tuition she will be sitting her exam early next year.

Evany was inspired to create her own YouTube channel. To begin with it was to keep her mind occupied, but her subscribers rapidly grew as did her skills!

She has taught herself amazing skills in photography, editing, filming, graphics and much more. Her confidence in public speaking and presentation is second to none.

Recently, Evany was given the opportunity to enter The National Enterprise Challenge with her school.

Exciting, Educational and Fun!

The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge is a full day enterprise programme open to all secondary schools in the UK. Open to full year groups the challenge is split into two categories KS3 and KS4.

This helps to develop the enterprise and employability skills of all the young people who take part including teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity and presentation. The winning team from each school will then represent the school at the National Finals. This years national finals were held at The Telford International Centre.

Evany had entered the challenge last year and even reached the finals, she was determined to enter again this year.

With the advert that she had created for Ryman Stationery, we found out that she had reached the finals again. Whoop whoop 🙌

The day came for her to represent her school. She was very excited, as were we.

Later on in the day Evany phoned to say that she HAD WON!

Out of 40,000 students and pitching to the panel of judges which included Dragons Den star and well known entrepreneur "Theo Paphitis" she WON and not only winning the TNEC2017 she went on to win a second award for most Enterprising KS4 girl

Her headmaster Mr.Wakefield, the school and us as her parents are immensely proud of her achievements.

I highly recommend any secondary school to take part in next years enterprise challenge for all budding entrepreneurs. Visit the website:

Evany continues to work on her YouTube channel and is preparing to sit her GCSES next year. Her goal is to be a PGA Golfer and travel across the globe to play tournaments.

When our children tell us they have goals and dreams we always reply with:
"How can we help you achieve this?"

We have a family motto of:
IMAGINE with all your MIND
BELIEVE with all your HEART
ACHIEVE with all your MIGHT

Wow. That's a pretty amazing daughter. You both must be proud.
