Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
I mention this item in many of my posts and it deserves a post on its own
regular salt is deprived of its minerals
they shed the salt and make more money by making mineral pills out of it and are selling you in regular table salt only the sodium part
this is fine if you add salt for your pasta water but for true taste i highly recommend to use a high quality sea salt of any kind-it tastes a lot less aggressive and has true flavor
I love Himalayan salt... I use the same one as you, the Sherpa Pink brand at the moment.
Another interesting thing that you can do is buy the larger Himalayan Pink salt rocks and dilute them in purified water. When you use lots of rocks, they will only dilute to a specific salinity percentage in the water, and once you add more water, more of the rocks will dissolve. It's really great to use this salt water in cooking!
awesome tip-I truly appreciate it and also your very valuable time for reading my post-I prefer the spice lap taste of the salt but spice lab doesn't provide the right grain size to my liking so i also mainly use the Sherpa for the salt shakers-my whole palate has changed since i use these salts almost exclusively-Often i find when eating elsewhere the salt taste to strong it literally bites me and i switched to less sodium soy sauce as well.Natural salts simply have way more depth in their taste and are milder in my experience-wish you a marvelous weekend
I agree 100%!
thanks a million
