The questions we ask ourselves matter
If all we ask ourselves, day in day out is, “How do I rise up the corporate ladder?” or “What will my menu be for the day?” or “How much money should I have in my bank account?” then we cease to be people of substance.
If all you are to yourself is this: someone who brings home the bacon, someone who cooks for his family, someone who is financially sound---all important things to be sure—but if this is all you ask of yourself, then your life will follow suit.
I think a good question to ask might sound like this (these are merely suggestions as I cannot tell you what questions you must ask), “What has led me to this point in my life?
”Or “what, in life, wants to come through me? What does it ask of me?”
The questions we ask ourselves have the capacity to expand or shrink us and the lives we lead.
We must choose our questions well.
