Is abortion considered murder?

I do not think that women resort to abortion willingly. I do not think any woman who had an abortion has a peaceful being out of the clinic and resumes their lives as if nothing had happened. An unwanted pregnancy is a painful event for many women which they must traverse, sometimes with the law on their side but often clandestinely and unsafe.

The criminalization of abortion has overlooked the role played by the desire of women in the psychological fate of the baby. The process of humanization of the future baby depends on the desire to be a mother and the love she is able to give. A mother who can not take care psychologically carrying and developing baby in her womb endures entire pregnancy as an unbearable bodily invasion.

Many people who consider an embryo a person and criminalize abortion do not understand that a human starts to be such a human through multiple encounters with the mother. You can not think of a baby without thinking of the mother. A child without the mother's breast would die. A child needs a mother who wants the baby and if the baby came into the world without being wanted, loved and assisted. If not, it would cause living the rest of child's days with deep psychological wounds.

Religion, especially the Catholic, insists on telling us that an embryo is a human and that abortion is equivalent to killing. This idea has infiltrated the minds of many women making them feel guilt that obscures the already difficult process of decision to abort. Nobody wants to force Catholics to change their beliefs why then impose these to all women?
