Dear Diary,
At stayfit fitness club, we exercise 4 times in a week, so today being Wednesday was the second day of the week to join the club and 7 steemians in exercising and keeping fit. Today's workout went smoothly not until I was given a particular programme that almost tore my ribs. At last, it was a fruitful one because we've got a new user on Steemit, which I'll like to reveal at the end of my post.

Morning Activities

I woke-up by 5:30am when I heard the loud sound from my phone, it was my scheduled alarm. I struggled to get up on bed because i felt some pains on my neck due to sleep bad posture. I finally got up by 6am to join my family in morning daily text, after the closing prayer, i took my bath, wore my outfit and jogged down to the training centre.

On reaching there, I met my coach, @ngoenyi, and other athlete jogging around the big field, so I dropped my phone and joined the team so that I won't slack behind. I completed 4 lapses without rest before proceeding to the programmes of the day. We had 4 programes to do in a row, so I started with....

Russian twist

We're working on our abs this week, so the first programme was the Russian twist. This is done by sitting on a soft mat, then you pick 25 cones twisting to the left and right for 3 rounds. It may sound easy but difficult when practiced. See the way @aunatev1 is breathing because of the pains he's feeling on his abdomen.

The intense pains couldn't let me complete the 3 rounds like others, I was about giving up when my coach approached, I was encouraged and motivated to complete the programme for positive results, of which I did.

Tummy stretch

We had an equipment called tummy trimmer which we used in getting the programme done. This is done by holding the handle firm, then roll/stretch your tummy till it touches the floor, then you pull back yourself with your hands still on the handle. The description alone should tell how difficult this programme was.

We were asked to pull and stretch it 10 times, then repeat the same process for 3 times. The pains I felt on my abs since Monday hasn't subsided, so i couldn't complete this programme as instructed. At first, i did only 3 instead of 10, i later did 10 of 10 then gave up on the quest. This was the programme that almost tore my ribs.

Triceps Stretch and lifts

I can call this programme mine, because i enjoyed doing it with the beat of the afromusic played from our music box. This programme is done by sitting on the floor or mat, then stretch and lift your legs to touch your hands on the air. The mat wasn't enough, so i sat on the floor to make sure I'm not left behind.

I'm the one on black doing the programme

To show that this programme was enjoyable, after completing the 3 rounds of 30 stretch and lift, the coach suggest we should go for 50 stretch, then later increased to 100. We were all lifting and stretching in uniform following the beat from the music box.

Dumbbell lifts

While i was enjoying the triceps Stretch and lifts programme, others started with the fourth programme which was dumbbell lifts. It was done by sitting on a mat, held the dumbell, the lift it up and down for 40 times, then repeat the same process for 4 times making it 160 lifts in total.

@chichigirl doing the programme

After i was done with my favourite programme, i jogged a bit to stretch my muscles, if you can look closely to the picture above, you'll spot me from the right jogging. I partnered with @fifapresido in completing the fourth programme. He's my energizer and motivator as well.

Back stretch

I'll call this programme special because only 3 people could do it. Maybe i would have done it but i didn't even give a try as it was scary, what if i break my spinal cord? This was the question i was asking myself which made me lose the energy and capability. I enjoyed watching them do it with ease.

After the completed the programme, we went down to the last programme which was stretching and holding our breath for some seconds. "Thank you everyone, see you all on Friday", this was where we ended, when the coach spoke. Even with the stress and pains after the workout, my coach still find joy and happiness in bringing a new writer with the username @happyluv to the Steemit platform. With the look on her face, you'll see that the tone speaks happiness.

After the successful registration, she was guided on how to use the basic markdown styles and write her achievement 1 post so as to get verified and start exploring her talent. She was keen on joining the platform, so she quickly go through some samples of newcomers post and wrote hers perfectly. I helped her pen down the writings on a white paper using a marker for clarity and took her picture with the paper held on her hands as usual.

Going through her write-up and putting the necessary tags.

After going through her write-up thoroughly, I showed her the necessary tags to be used and we posted her achievement-1 post before we dismissed. I'm hoping to see her get verified and explore her talent on Steemit platform.

I must use this medium to give accolades to @ngoenyi the coach of stayfit fitness club, who recruit almost every members of the team who has keen interest to join the platform with zero fees.

We left to our humble abode, on my way home, i bought a cold water to quench my thirst. When i arrived home, i engaged in so many activities after eating my food, then did some research about UPROCK TOKEN that's to be launched tomorrow on Jupiter.

Definitely, are you still feeling pains on your abs?

Yes I am but not compared to that of Monday, that's why it's advisable not to skip fitness days.
