RE: It Would Be Crazy to Bring a Child Into This World- Why I Did it Anyway

in #funny7 years ago (edited)

@therealpaul, a good question, I've often wondered myself why but you have given some insightful answers. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. :)
It sometimes seems a shame that people need to give birth to their own rather than adopt a child that has already been brought into this world and needs a home... What is this desire that humans have to want children but it has to be their own flesh and blood? I would guess that people might only consider adoption as a secondary or third choice rather than a first option.

I think adopting is a noble thing to do- I was a parent who didn't plan on having a child, but I'm glad I did now.

Being a parent is probably one of the best feelings in the world, even if it is tough at times. It is arguably the hardest thing anybody ever does regardless of whether or not they are the biological or adopting parent. It's pretty amazing stuff ☺️

Yep parenting is a heroic venture, and it has lots of fun parts and hard parts, but it's an education that money can't buy. I learned that I could be smarter, and I learned how to be wiser, all from the teachings of my own young child.
