Sometimes it’s used for eye protection, some people use it for eye signed extension or just for face decoration.

Eventually, everyone will probably use glasses at some point in their life. Some sooner, some later, depends on how much carrots you eat when you ware young. It is inevitable that you will see glasses on somebody’s had, these days. I use them at work, eye protection safety is important in my work and I use sunglasses when driving my car. Which means I eat my vegetables in time and I still have a good eyesight. Like most great discoveries were discovered by chance, no exception for the convex lens around the 11 century by Arabic folks. It was quite a discovery back in the day, to be able to read small text from a distance.

The use of glasses is documented from China to Europe, but if you are trying to find who made the first eyeglasses it will become a little difficult. I’ll skip the history lesson a bit. Lots of names were mentioned during the middle ages who were using glasses but to specify a name and date to who made them first, that part is a little bit tuff. But not when it comes to who perfected them.

Let me tell you a story of how the picture got cleaner. Benjamin Franklin, an American scientist and 6th presidential of America had poor eye vision. He had to deal with myopia and presbyopia so that led him to invent bifocals. Later on, many individuals were perfecting the lenses or frames like Moritz von Rohr and Zeiss, their lenses dominated the market for many years. Things were pretty much just variations of the same thing until 2008. when Joshua Silver designed adjustable corrective glasses. It's nice to see mankind never stops in perfecting and evolving, even with a simple item like eyeglasses.
A few years ago, I bought some glasses, but not to use them it was just because there looked old. Not too old, old tho, it's not an antique, it's a vineyard item. Apollo-Optik, kind of old and heavy glasses. It is a German optical company, founded in 1972. in Schwabach. It is one of the largest companies in Europe focusing in retail eyewear. The company has around 3600 employees and its revenue in 2009 was 355 million Euros, impressive numbers.

Let's get to the pics and take a look. They feature two big and heavy lenses, one lense have minor damage, as you can see. The frame is metal and has a little wobble when unfolding them. The decoration looks like it's for the older population, they are simple. The two pieces that are behind your ear are made of some hard plastic and are transparent . The thing that rests on your nose is made of hard rubber those are also transparent. I didn’t pay much for them, maybe 15 dollars, but it is a really great feeling when you find out that they are more valuable then I thought. I found a similar model on Etsy.com, here is the link so you can check it out. I like that price, but I like the frame more. Selling them is not an option, I'll just look which optic workshop will swop the lenses so I can have some nice shades that are covering a quarter of my face.

Well said, I really like this that you've laid out. And I definitely share the viewpoint with you. I also hope to leave my legacy here on steemit, and what I share here is what I would want to be remembered for. I think we can all look for something new! Thank you for being here. :)

So start sharing while you still can.

Wow very nice post. I learnt a few new things today. I myself have glasses because i never ate enough carrots. Thanks for upvoting and commenting on my post
