Real legends and heroes are newer problem less and polished figures from fairy tale

The good old Tomos 6! This is the most iconic moped ever, in my part of the world, of course.

The legendary Tomos 6 left a mark in my childhood years. I covered a lot of kilometres with it, as a passenger first and later on as a driver. Honestly, I never liked the two weal drive. I mean, can you sleep in a motorcycle? I know I can sleep in a car! Just more things to do, with and in a car. It was the dream moped for my cousins tho. No shit I am serious. Now in their eyes, if you owned one, you owned freedom. The teenage dream vehicle. Lots of enthusiasts spent countless hours in their garage just to make it go a little bit faster. Tinkling with the piston, making it litre and so on. One of my friends managed to do 100 km/h (62 mph) top speed with it. He was small and skinny. It was not downhill. On a flat road, he managed to drive it significantly better than 45km/h (27 mph). Not the getaway bike but more like a ghetto raider. People managed to lose the exhaust pipe and when that happens, you never feel the need for a chopper again. It sounds like an old aeroplane. People still drive the icon and refuse to buy scooters. To me, it makes perfect sense. I personally hate the sound of a scooter. Because when the tourist season begins it's hot, it's crowded and I always have to dodge them. This thing is still in service, believe it or not, states postmen still use it around here. You can hear the postman is coming from a mile away. I think everyone can tell the difference between the Tomos and any other moped. Sadly the old Tomos gets slowly replaced by fucking scooters. The good thing is there are still some old school postmen that only like to do their job with the old metal donkey. Enough glorification of this moped. So Tomos company was founded after the Second World War in a little place call Sežana, Slovenia in 1954. A new Yugoslavian brand was born. Two-wheeler cheap transportation, they made an agreement with Steyr-Daimler-Puch an Austrian company. They placed there first product one-year later and was called the Tomos Puch SG 250. Tomos is still making mopeds, motorcycles and outboard motors. They have a production facility in the Netherlands. So it's not another shity Balkan brand. Even you folks in the US had the opportunity to purchase one. I doubt anyone in the States would consider some Balkan brand. It's not like The Yugo was a huge success. All though they were available in the US from 1976 to 2014 and now there can be purchased in the UK. Don't worry, they drive on the left side just like on the right. This one in the picture is a fully equipped postman vehicle and it is still in action. The purpose of this post is to raise attention that a legend will soon go extinct.

That has a pretty serious build to it. When I was growing up I always wanted a moped. They were not at all nice like this one. They were a bike with a tiny black motor, but when I was 8 or 9 its was cool lol.

I agree a lot of moped back in the look funny . But this one looks bad ass.

I wish I could say more than this is a very original post...I don't know anything about this subject...hahaha

Thanks a honest opinion is always welcome.

Hey at least I can support your originality, like who gets into this stuff? But this is what you like and totally geek out on and I can really understand geeking out on non-trendy hobbies ;-)
