Forbids ICO ads to keep Twitter community safe

According to the announcement; ICO Token sales, stock exchanges and securities services - excluding publicly traded companies - will be banned from all advertising. A spokesperson said the move was aimed at CNBC: "The Twitter community is aiming to secure it."

For Twitter Ads, we've added a new policy on crypto currencies. Under this new policy, the announcements of the Initial Money Offer (ICO) and token sales will be banned globally.

The rumors that Twitter will ban crypto currency ads appeared earlier this month, with Sky News reporting that it would remove such content from the platform in the next two weeks as previously reported.

The Twitter spokesperson refused to comment on questions asked about this topic.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has admitted that the fraudulent crypto-currency accounts are increasing, talking about bot accounts that want to hacker users or make crypto money from others.

However, some of the site's efforts to solve the problem have resulted in account issues for normal users, including @bitcoinmom and Kraken's cryptographic support channel.
