One of the great things about crypto and technology in general is that there will always be competing platforms. It's good for innovation too. As the old saying goes, "Competition breeds innovation."
I think with social media you're always going to have people who are platform loyal. Twitter vs Gab or Free speech vs censorship. Different platforms will always have different features that will attract different people.

Although I didn't see any of your videos and articles before, I read an article about meos on another chain, making me wonder what the fuzz was about. As Steemit is important to me, and I'm not one to leave anytime soon, I thought I should use the search button, to see what Steemit members have to say about meos.
Your video was the second article I opened, and I watched it to the end. Everything you're saying there makes sense, and I don't actually think this can be something that will kill Steemit, only the users can :) (like you mentioned)
I actually have my hands full on a new project and that will also contain trying to onboard businesses on Steemit in the future, so for me there is absolutely no reason to leave Steemit.
Btw your son is adorable! I think he was filling up his diaper during your speech though :)
Anyway, thank you for sharing this, at this time I have no interest to find out more about meos haha (indeed a stupid name)
