The European Union called the conditions for preserving the visa-free regime with Ukraine.

Brussels demanded that Kiev take immediate action to ensure that Ukrainians continued to travel to Europe without visas. The European Commission published a report within the framework of a new mechanism for suspending visa-free regimes.

It notes that Ukraine as a whole fulfills the conditions for visa liberalization, but Kiev should pay attention to a number of points.

In total, the document puts forward six demands. In Brussels, they want Kiev to work more actively with the EU to prevent the risks of irregular migration. In addition, the European Union expects that Ukraine will carry out a campaign to inform people about their rights and responsibilities within the framework of the visa-free regime.

The EU also expects that Kiev will immediately restore the authority of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and create the highest anti-corruption court, thus ensuring independence of the reforms.

The European Union demanded that the amendments be repealed, obliging fighters against corruption to declare incomes, and also to strengthen the fight against organized crime.

The visa-free regime with the countries of the Schengen zone has been in effect for Ukrainians since June 11. The European Union reserves the right to cancel it for any country that it considers to be the source of the migration threat.

Citizens of Ukraine can freely travel to Europe for tourist, business and family purposes. Since the beginning of the visa-free regime in the Schengen area visited more than 350 thousand Ukrainians.
