Two frames from the same place.

Look at these two frames. I took them from one point. My camera was on a tripod. It is impossible to make a clear shot with your hands at dusk, especially when using long-focus optics.
Here I used a 70-200 lens from canon. One frame is taken at a focal length of 200 mm, and the other at a focal length of 70 mm. You see a big difference. At 200 mm, we have identified the subject of the survey and can examine it in detail. At 70 mm we can already see a fairly large panorama and the huge towers of Moscow City are not so impressive anymore, many other objects that distract attention have appeared in the frame. Well, if you shoot from this point with a standard wide-angle lens, then there will be even more space in the frame.
So that's the beauty of long-focus optics, we can isolate the subject from the environment. To highlight the architecture (although I was several kilometers away from these towers), we can single out a person from the crowd and focus on him, we can photograph a bird or an animal from afar without scaring them.

Посмотрите на эти два кадра. Я их снял с одной точки. Мой фотоаппарат стоял на штативе. С рук в сумерках невозможно сделать четкий кадр, особенно, когда используешь длиннофокусную оптику.
Тут я использовал объектив 70-200 от кэнона. Один кадр сделан на фокусном расстоянии 200 мм, а другой на фокусном расстоянии 70 мм. Вы видите большую разницу. На 200 мм мы выделили объект съемки и можем детально его рассмотреть. На 70 мм мы видим уже достаточно большую панораму и огромные башни Москва сити уже не так впечатляют, в кадре появилось много других объектов, которые отвлекают внимание. Ну а если с этой точки снимать на стандартный широкоугольный объектив, то в кадре окажется еще больше пространства.
Так вот в чем прелесть длиннофокусной оптики, мы можем выделить предмет съемки из окружения. Выделить архитектуру ( правда я находился от этих башен на расстоянии нескольких километров) , мы можем выделить человека из толпы и сфокусироваться на нем, мы можем издалека сфотографировать птичку или животное при этом не вспугнув их.
