Poklonnaya Gora Museum in Moscow (#club100)

Today I will show you one iconic place in Moscow, which is visited by almost all tourists. This is Poklonnaya Gora - a large museum complex.
The Victory Museum in Moscow is a huge exhibition dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. It was also inaugurated in honor of the 50th anniversary of the victory. This is a well-thought-out memorial complex, where the valor and dedication of Soviet soldiers and ordinary citizens are forever imprinted. Exhibitions and excursion programs on various subjects are regularly organized within the walls of the institution.

Every year the museum's exposition is replenished with unique items: letters from the front, award documents, paintings and more. The Museum's fund has more than 316,000 exhibits.

The thousand-ton triangular obelisk symbolizes a soldier's bayonet, rising to 141.8 meters: every 10 centimeters of the monument symbolize one day of war. At a height of 104 meters, a 25-ton bronze statue of the goddess of victory Niki is installed on the monument, holding a wreath in her hands and surrounded by figures of two angels with trumpets. At the base of the stele there is also an equestrian statue of George the Victorious, who strikes a snake with a spear, symbolizing fascism.

I've been here quite often, just walking or driving by as a wedding photographer, but to my shame inside the premises, I've never been to the museum itself.
