Hello my family members why i call you family members because steemit is just like my home and steemit members are my family members. Also i care about you lot so please stay home stay safe , break and chain and we will get victory upon coronavirus soon. So now we comes to my post. In my lasts lecture i tell you about the workdone and some processes. In this lecture i will tell you about the heat transfer and types of heat transfer also i will tell you about the latent heat and specific heat .so lets start:

what is heat transfer

Heat is a transfer of kinematic energy from one body to the another body. Heat transfer occurs when there is a temperature difference between the two bodies or on the same body so the system comes into the equilibrium condition. Heat transfer occurs generally in two forms one is in the force of work and another is temperature. Suppose we have put one end rod on the fire the heat first increases the temperature at the tip and then the heat moves all the body and makes the whole body hot .

Types of heat transfer
There are three methods through which heat transfer takes place they are geven below

  1. conduction
  2. convection
  3. radiation

In conduction the the atoms are in direct contact with each other when the atom having high energy or temperature gets vibrated it transfers its energy to the low grade energy atom or the atom which are at the low temperature. In conduction there is no proper movement of the atom for transferring heat.this type of heat transfer occurs in solids.

In convection the atoms moves from place to the another place and trasfers heat. The atom can be move naturally or manually. The hot atom which gets heated moves towards cooler atom and gives heat to them. This type of heat transfer occurs in liquids. In natural convection the atoms move with respect to gravity while in manual the atoms are forced to move by fan.

In radiation the heat transfer takes place in the empty space this type of heat transfer even occur in the vaccum. The best example of this is the heat in the form of light comes from the sun.

Types of heat

Specific heat : this is the type of heat which is used to rise the temperature of any system. In this type there is no change other than the change in the temperature of the body. There are two types of that which we discuss later.

Latent heat; this is the type of heat which is used for the phase change of any substance suppose we have to cahnge the ice into water which is at zero degree we add some heat so that its phase gets changed but the temperature remains same in the process .
