Dolphins are highly-intelligent marine animals preferrably living in temperate oceans around the world. The family of dolphins is approximately comprised of 32 families the color of which is relatively diverse, from grey, brown and blue to white, depending on the respective habitat. A group of dolphins is either called a pod or a school, while the formation of such is either based on biological relations or on friendships. One of their most salient characteristics apart from high-intelligence is their natural echolocation containing a broad gamut of voice frequencies: as a rule of thumb, lower frequency sounds are used for communication with conspecifics while higher frequency sounds serve unterwater orientation. These sounds are being reverberated to the dolphin by means of submarine objects, which upon reception allow the dolphin to analyse location, shape and size of the specific object. In this way, dolphins also detect prey or predators so that they can navigate accordingly. Main sources of food are small fish, squid and shrimp, while most dangerous aquatic predators are orcas and large sharks.

Spiritually light aspects:

Dolphins are very harmonic and peaceful animals with stellar delicacy of feeling and vigilance. Since dolphins have outstanding memory, spiritually and mentally connecting with this marine mammal endows us with enhanced photographic memory abilites which facilitate precise remembering of past events, people or learning content. At the same time, by employing an exceedinlgy fine-tuned echolocation system to take their bearing not only for basic submarine navigation and prey catching but also for locating predators, dolphins ecourage us to also follow our inner compass, for it never misleads us. The message they convey is that we can wholeheartedly trust in our abilities, allowing us to take the right action in the right timing whether in terms of recognising and seizing a favorable opportunity or perceiving and circumventing potential dangers. "Feel yourself through life" instead of "think yourself through life" is the recipe they bestow on us, connecting us with the source of infinite creativity and mental flexibility so that we will always have the perfect answer up our sleeve just in the nick of time.

Spiritually dark aspects:

Since dolphins have a very strong sense of peace, they struggle with accepting injustice. Combined with an excellent memory the practise of forgiveness and letting go of grief is easily impeded. Ultimately however, not forgiving others irrespective of the deed is detrimental to healing fragmented aspects within ourselves. In last instance the outside is a reflection of the inside. We are one appearing as many, which means that if we cannot forgive others there is something within us that we also cannot forgive ourselves. On another level dolphins stand for a high expectancy with respect to ethics and values which can easily lead to ostracising others when they deviate from these values. Hypercriticality also bears the potential of making mountains out of molehills, leading to abrupt and unnecessary mood swings and disputs.
