Greetings beautiful people from our amazing community. And glad to be here again to share how our first city road show went. It was massively awesome.
It was a beautiful day that began on a good note. I woke up early this morning. I had actually been away to another r town and had to travel back to Owerri town to embark on the road show which was meant to kick off at Imo state university by 10am. I arrived the scene of the road show and met some of my city steemains on ground already and we started by taking a group selfie.
The person's present for the road show was @ceendy20 my city coordinator and @jovita30 and my self. After our selfie, we began the road show at the school love garden. There we students and people sitted around iron pews at the garden and we swung into action to talk to them about Steemit.
The first person I talked to was a man named Stanley. He is not a student. He was sitted at the pew and was the one that actually called me to ask about what we were doing cause we were actually branded on our polo. I guess the polo drew his attention. I went to him and started showing him what Steemit was all about and I explained it bit by bit. He was actually very interested. I loved his spirit and he was willing to sign up immediately. So I proceeded to sign him up and this his username, @sarambocee. Please help me make welcome our newbie to steemit.
Not only did I sign him up, he asked of what next to so and we proceeded to start his achievement task 1 right there on the spot. He was able to finish up with the achievement task 1 before we rounded up the road show for the day and I was there to mentor and assist all the way. This so this is the link for his achievement task 1.
When I finished with him, I proceeded to talk to other people who were sitting around. The next set of persons was some students who were just sitting around the garden.
I walked up to them and as usual, they haven't heard of steemit. So I proceeded to explain steemit to them and what it entails. I gave them a flier and my contact and they said to get back to me for their registration.
When I finished, we proceeded to talk to another group of person by the corner. We gathered around them and talked to them too. And so on and so forth. We continued to talk to people around. Most of them do not know about this beautiful community and it was really exciting to bring steemit to their notice. We look forward to getting them on board as soon as possible.
When we finished, we headed home. I could say it was a successful road show for me as it's my first time signing up someone at the spot and also doing the achievement 1 task the same day. I was really glad I could achieve that feat. I look forward to more road shoe activities. I love steemit and I love promoting steemit.
