INTERPRETATION
Napoleon had already begun his descent towards defeat and Talleyrand decided that for peace to exist throughout Europe, Napoleon had to flee and disappear, for that reason they conspired against him, but they did it half-heartedly, with the aim of muddying the waters and inciting Napoleon to make a mistake.
Since his lack of control over his emotions had a great negative effect on his image.

INTERPRETATION
